Almost Christmas...

It's almost Christmas again, and I am having a really hard time dealing with the loss of my dad. He loved Christmas so much. And Christmas shopping. And Christmas music.

And to make it worse, it snowed today, and all I can think about is how excited he always got when even flurries were in the forecast.

He would have loved today. It was my nephew's first birthday party. And it really sucks that he couldn't be here to celebrate with us.

I miss you so much, Dad.

I'm a 24-year-old female who graduated Magne Cum Laude from York College of Pennsylvania on December 20, 2006, with Departmental Honors, having earned my Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in professional writing, with a minor in visual communications a year-and-a-half early. I consider modeling my weekend job, and work full time as a proposal coordinator and documentation specialist for a leading IT firm in Pennsylvania. I plan to attend graduate school in the future to expand my knowledge of the arts and humanities.

My true passions in life are writing and art -- I consider myself extremely creative and artistic, and love to show that side of my personality when I am outside of my office job. But, when it comes down to it, I am a professional and always conduct myself as such; though I do like to have fun!

I love to learn, read, write, draw, and do anything outdoors. I use the world around me as inspiration and am looking to surround myself with like-minded individuals.

I'm probably one of the most determined and goal-oriented people you will ever meet, and I am very proud of myself for that.

If you can't tell already, I'm a huge nerd and a major over-achiever; but, I wouldn't want to be any other way.
